LOCAL heroes will be honoured at a special event in Barnstaple when the North Devon Journal hosts its fourth annual Community Awards. The event, which will be held on Thursday, December 1, at the Barnstaple Hotel, will shine the spotlight on our unsung heroes - including the army of volunteers working tirelessly behind the scenes on behalf of our community.
