Mr Collins has been named by police as the man recovered from the River Taw in Barnstaple on Saturday night. He was recovered from the river after members of the public raised the alarm at around 4pm, triggering a large scale recovery operation with police, fire service, ambulance, coastguard and Appledore lifeboat.
