Councillor Julie Hunt has spent two years as mayor of the town but last night she formally handed over the reins to new mayor for 2018-19 Cllr Ian Roome. The town council ceremony at the Guildhall was held before a full audience of invited guests, which included the Lord Lieutenant of Devon David Fursdon.
