Barnstaple girl takes on 'channel challenge' for Aspire

A young Barnstaple girl is swimming the length of the channel in an epic three-month challenge for the Aspire charity. Year seven Pilton Community College pupil Aimee Stanley is aiming to raise more than A 1,000 by swimming lengths at the Barnstaple Hotel between September and December 1. Aimee said she was inspired to take on the challenge for the spinal injury charity by her dad, Roger, who works with people in wheelchairs.
